'Blumenschmidt' is a beautiful and very floriferous old garden rose that produces an abundance of double, primrose yellow flowers, with rose-pink outer petals.

The first flush of flowers in the spring is incredible, and is followed by near-continuous repeat blooms that reach another climax in a striking profusion of blooms in the fall.

'Blumenschmidt' is a beautiful and very floriferous old garden rose that produces an abundance of double, primrose yellow flowers, with rose-pink outer petals.

'Blumenschmidt' flowers are large (3"), double and somewhat muddled. The petals curl backward, giving them a slightly pointed appearance. There is a small green 'pip' in the center of the blooms.

'Blumenschmidt' an exceptionally prolific bloomer, both in the spring and in the fall. When it is in full flush, there is no other rose in the garden that can even begin to compare with it for sheer numbers and density of blooms.

 
ANECDOTAL
INFORMATION:

When we planted 'Blumenschmidt' in our garden, it rapidly attained its full mature size. The number of blooms was not exceptional the first year, but every year since it has been a "blooming fool" of a rose.

'Blumenschmidt' make an immediate and lasting impression. As visitors to our garden approach 'Blumenschmidt' they invariably comment on the fantastic number of blooms, and ask, "What rose is this?"
